My specialties are in working with people who would like to explore their relationship with substances, people in recovery from substance use, individuals seeking purpose and meaning in their lives, as well as addressing depression, anxiety, and trauma from a social justice and empowerment lens. As a person with lived experience, I offer a unique perspective in the therapeutic relationship that normalizes experiencing life challenges as well as life successes. I am a proponent for mindfulness, pranayama, and spirituality on the healing journey and I hold those approaches while also advocating for self-defined recovery. I view therapy as walking beside someone on their recovery journey--whatever that may look like on each day. I am trained in EMDR and Y12SR, and have a working knowledge of other useful resources in Juneau.
