Other comments: Clinical neuropsychology is a specialty profession that focuses on brain functioning. A Clinical Neuropsychologist is a licensed psychologist with expertise in how behavior and skills are related to brain structures and systems. In clinical neuropsychology, brain function is evaluated by objectively testing several areas of cognition including general intellect, higher level executive skills such as reasoning and problem solving, attention/concentration, learning and memory, language, visual perceptual and visual spatial skills. Mood and personality may also be assessed. A very detailed report is produced that includes the diagnoses, case formulation and treatment recommendations.

Insurance and payment details: Dr. Kiernan will bill the vast majority of insurance plans after each therapy session. He is in network with Premera BC/BS, and in the application process to become in network with Aetna. Dr. Kiernan will provide more information at the initial therapy session regarding deductibles and copays. Dr. Kiernan cannot bill Medicaid, yet can provide services for those under Medicare, however payment is due at time of service and clients would submit their receipt of payment to Medicare themselves.
Other comments: I provide comprehensive clinical therapeutic services and encourage the communication and co‐ordination of these services with other medical/health care providers to enhance the client’s progress in treatment (i.e. relevant psychiatrists, physicians, mental health clinicians, and/or mental health agencies). During my doctoral internship I had the wonderful opportunity to live and work at Onsite, and received direct clinical training from Sharon Wegscheider‐Crusie, founder of Onsite and ACOA http://www.sharonwcruse.com/.
