TYPES OF MENTAL HEALTH PROVIDERS
COUNSELORS & THERAPISTS
Counselors & therapists can diagnose and treat mental health conditions. They often specialize in treating certain conditions and/or in certain modalities of therapy (different types of therapy may include DBT, CBT, talk therapy, etc). This includes LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and LPC (licensed professional counselor), among others.
PSYCHIATRISTS
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe medication.
PSYCHOLOGISTS
Psychologists specialize in diagnosing developmental, cognitive, behavioral, and mental health conditions. Some psychologists also provide ongoing treatment. Some psychologists offer psychological and/or neuropsychological testing.

I frequently draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness and Somatic Experience in my work.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, as well as Aetna, United Health Care and Optum. I can also bill as an out of network provider if you have out of network benefits. I submit bills to insurance companies on behalf of my client.

I am a telemedicine provider that is from Juneau but currently based out of Haines. I grew up in Southeast Alaska and understand many of the challenges associated with life in the rain forest.
