Evening and weekend hours available. Dorolyn is a registered and board certified art therapist. When words alone are not enough, there is art. Art therapy is a form of counseling that uses art making within the therapeutic relationship to help provide insight and find new ways to solve problems. Many times, therapeutic art making can help resolve problems quicker by uncovering core issues and their accompanying solutions. People who are hesitant to talk or people who are highly verbally defended may benefit from participation in art therapy. Art therapy can be an enjoyable way to participate in counseling. Using art making within family therapy can give all participants a voice.
